OBJECTIVE
The Brazilian Navy, through the Command of the 2nd Naval District, conducts an event every two years, either in-person or remotely, focused on Mine Countermeasures Operations (MCM). The event aims to promote the exchange of technical and doctrinal information, strengthen ties between Navies, showcase new systems and projects available in the market, and foster potential partnerships. For the 2023 edition, the BRAZILIAN NAVY has decided to hold a remote event on the internet, seeking broader dissemination and visibility.
REGISTRATION
The II WCMM has an open nature, and all presentations will be accessible to the public and broadcasted on YouTube. Registrations can be done through the website https://www.even3.com.br/2wcmm/"
DATE AND LOCATION
The event will take place on November 22, 2023, from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM, Brasília time, in Time Zone “P” (GMT -3), and will be broadcasted from the facilities of the Command of the 2nd Naval District, in the city of Salvador, Bahia.
TRANSMISSION
The event will take the form of an online seminar, called a Webinar. The broadcast will be conducted through the video-sharing platform "YOUTUBE" and/or links provided by encodings/streaming.
SPEAKERS
The II WCMM will feature presentations by Brazilian Navy officers and specialized companies.
PRESENTATIONS
There will be ten presentations, each lasting twenty-five minutes, followed by a five-minute break. At the end of the morning and at the end of the afternoon, there will be a thirty-minute period for discussions with the speakers. All presentations will have an overt secrecy level.
DISCUSSION PERIOD
During the presentations, interested parties should submit their questions to the email address com2dn.wcmm@marinha.mil.br. Some questions will be selected by the event moderator and answered "live" by the speakers. All questions will be forwarded to the speakers, and those that are not answered "live" will receive responses by email.
