Rear Admiral Enrique Antonio Balbi is married to Patricia Beatriz Jarrige Lima and has 3 children. He graduated from the Naval Military School as a Midshipman on December 30, 1988. On December 31, 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Ship Captain. He was Commander of the Patrol Vessel ARA “Murature” and the Submarine ARA “Salta” and Director of the Submarine and Diving School. He served as Defense and Naval Attaché at the Embassy of Argentina in the United States of North America, Head of the Argentine Delegation at the Inter-American Defense Council (IADB), Military Advisor to the Permanent Representative of the Mission of the Argentine Republic to the Organization of American States (OAS ), Deputy Defense Attaché and Director of Maritime Interests of the Argentine Navy. Between 2009 and 2010, he took the Human Rights Course and the Civil Protection Planning Course at the Argentinian Joint Training Program for Peace Operations Center. In 2011 he completed a Master's degree in "University Management" at the National University of Mar del Plata. In 2017 he obtained a Master's degree in Communication Management in Organizations, at the Austral University, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. He is currently the General Director of Organization and Doctrine of the Argentine Navy.
