United Nations Military Riverine Units Course 

UN United Nations Military Riverine Units (MRU) can contribute decisively and in support towards the successful achievement of the Mission’s mandate, ruling the concept and employment of UNMRU inside the peculiar riverine environment.
- Course objective: Prepare officers selected by Member States to be deployed in an UN Peacekeeping Mission as part of Military Riverine Units; and
- Course duration: 2 (two) weeks in total (10 working days)
• 1 (one) week (5 working days) for CPTM to be conducted remotely (online classes)
• 1 (one) week (5 working days) for STM for Military Riverine Units to be conducted at the NPOTC facilities, consisting of lectures, syndicate discussions, map exercises and a table top exercise (TTX) based on fictional scenario.
- Target audience: Military Officers (NATO ranks from OF-2 to OF-5) in active service. They must have the junior staff course as prerequisite; and
- Language used in the course: English (minimum STANAG 6001 Functional Language 3-2-3-2). All participants must be able to understand classes in English and to engage in discussions in order to fully benefit from the training.
