
Eden Clabuchar Martingo has been a Brazilian diplomat since 2009. He has a degree in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo, a post-graduate degree in International Business, and graduated from the Rio Branco Institute's Diplomats Training Course and Improvement Course. He speaks English, German, French and Spanish. Among the positions he has held throughout his diplomatic career are: assistant in the Middle East Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) (2010-2011), head of the Political Sector of the Brazilian Embassy in Colombo (2011-2013), specialized advisor to the Special Secretariat for Women's Policies of the Presidency of the Republic (2013-2015), advisor to the Disarmament and Sensitive Technologies Division of the MRE (2014-2017), delegate at the Special Representation of Brazil to the Conference on Disarmament (2017-2020), head of the Economic and Commercial Sector at the Embassy of Brazil in Hanoi (2020-2022), deputy head of the East and Northern Africa Division of the MRE (2022-2023). He was awarded the Victory Medal by the Ministry of Defense and the Santos Dumont Merit Medal by the Brazilian Air Force. Part of the Brazilian disarmament delegation that won the Arms Control Association's Arms Control Person of the Year award in 2017. He is currently Deputy Head of the MRE's Sea, Antarctic and Space Division, where he works primarily on issues related to outer space, ZOPACAS, the South Atlantic and Gulf of Guinea, and the Arctic.
