Fleet Admiral (Ret.) Ilques Barbosa Junior

Fleet Admiral Ilques Barbosa Júnior nominated midshipman in 1976. During his career he held command and management positions on ships and land organizations. Carrying out the activities inherent to Navy Officers, he spent around 1200 days at sea and 7000 days on board. He has courses in Command and General Staff, Higher Naval Warfare and Maritime Policy and Strategy from the Naval War College, the Regular State Mayor Course from the Naval War Academy of the Chilean Navy and the Higher Studies Course in Politics and Strategy from the Superior School of War. He’s held the positions of Commander of the Brazil School Ship, Commander of the 2nd Division of the Squadron, Commander of the 1st Naval District, Commander in Chief of the Squadron, Director General of Navy Personnel, Chief of Staff of the Navy and finally Commander of the Navy, between 2019 and 2021. He was an adviser to the presidency of Transpetro and is currently the Coordinator of Institutional Relations and Business Development of the Naval Technological Cluster of Rio de Janeiro and President of the Board of Trustees of the Amarcilio Foundation. He is a Collaborator at the Center for Political-Strategic Studies of the Navy (CEPE-MB).
