Technical Visit for Approval of the Preliminary Project of the Tamandaré Class Frigates
From November 20th to December 2nd, 2021, the technical meeting to evaluate the Preliminary Project of the Tamandaré Class Frigates took place at the Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems GmBH (tkMS) facility in Hamburg, Germany. Emgepron and the Brazilian Navy were represented by members of the PFCT Management and the Naval Engineering Board who signed, on November 24, together with representatives of SPE Águas Azuis, the documentation relating to the achievement of the Preliminary Review Engineering Framework of the Project, at the industrial premises of tkMS in Kiel, Germany (photo).
At the time, the propeller cavitation tests were also monitored in the HSVA (Hamburg Ship Model Basin) cavitation tank, a technical visit was carried out to the tkMS departments to monitor the development of the detailed project and technical and management discussions related to the execution were carried out. of the detailed work of the Preliminary Project, with a view to reaching the next critical milestone of the Project, the Critical Project Review, scheduled for June 2022.
The Director General of Material of the Navy, Am. Left CUNHA, accompanied by the heads of the Naval Engineering Board, CAlte (EN) XIMENES and the Navy Program Management Board, VALte CALHEIROS, marked the presence of the Navy, complementing the activities with a visit to the Atlas Elektronik GmBH facilities, in Bremen, where the Frigates Weapons Control System (CMS) is currently being developed, visit to the F-125 class ship in the German Navy, commissioning at the Blohm+Voss shipyard, visit the K-130 class Corvette in the German Navy naval base in Höhe Dune and, following that, they were received at the headquarters of the German Admiralty in Rostock, for technical and operational discussions with officers of the High Command of the German Navy.
