EMGEPRON participates in the I e-Navigation Seminar "Challenges and Opportunities"

On October 20 and 21, at the Almirante Graça Aranha Instruction Center (CIAGA), the I e-Navigation Seminar “Challenge and Opportunities” was held. The seminar took place at the National Week of Science, Technology and Innovation and had the guidance of the Directorate of Ports and Coasts (DPC) and the support of the Directorate-General for Navigation (DGN).

At the event, EMGEPRON was represented by the Technical-Commercial Director, VA (RM1) Brazil, who had the opportunity to follow several lectures given by representatives of the Brazilian Navy and other members of the Maritime and Port Community. Among the topics presented for the implementation of the e-Navigation concept was the Augmented Reality Tactical Image Console (CITRA), a naval system developed by the Naval Systems Analysis Center (CASNAV), which EMGEPRON sells and manages in projects for modernization and integration.

e-Navigation is a concept that includes a range of systems, integrated and harmonized information services, related to Navigation Safety and Port services, with the aim of improving Maritime Situational Awareness.
